About the kennel
I have been surrounded by dogs and other animals during my entire lifetime. One reason for that is that my mother was and is crazy about them. I guess it is a hereditary... My first contact with French bulldogs was when my mother, Eva Bruus - Kennel Mandelblommans, bought her first frenchie, Viktor. When my mother worked night shifts, Viktor came over to spend the night at my place. This was during his puppy period. As he grew older he could join in when my mother went for the nursing home to work with elderly people.
As the family of my mother increased I was completely sold. Sweet baby frenchie Moa took everyone with storm... Such a clown! Moa had her first litter in the year of 2001 and I was there as she gave birth to her puppies. As a very special gift from my mother that year, I received the daughter of Moa, Diva. To be more precise Mandelblommans Diva. And so it went on...
My kennel name, Divottie´s, comes from my first two bitches, Diva and Dottie. I thought that felt nice and personal. I have a small scaled kennel with dogs that live in the family as family members. I stick to the breeding rules and recommendations of both the Swedish Kennel Club and French bulldog club. I try to make a good match between the bitch and male, to get an offspring which is as healthy and typical as possible.
I was between 2007 and 2010 a board member of the Swedish French bulldog club.
